Connect Plugins Catalogue
This reference lists every Kafka Connect connector Axual documents, grouped into sink and source connectors and then by the kind of system each one integrates with, with the version and maintainer of each.
Type |
Reference |
Goal |
Find the connector for the system you need to integrate, and the page that documents it. |
Audience |
An application owner choosing a connector, and Platform Operators deciding which plugins to install. |
When to use |
When selecting a connector for a new integration, or checking whether a system is already supported. |
The catalogue covers connectors Axual builds and maintains, marked with an asterisk, and third-party connectors Axual has tested for compatibility. It is updated continuously, so a connector missing from the list is not necessarily unsupported.
For what a Connect Plugin, Connector and Connect Application are, and the difference between a source and a sink connector, see What is "Connect"? What are "Connectors"?.
For background on Kafka Connect itself, see the official documentation.
|
These connector plugins are Kafka Connect plugins, so they run on both Axual runtimes: Kafka Connect, which is fully supported, and Axual Connect, which is deprecated. Use Kafka Connect for a new integration. The installation route differs per runtime. On Kafka Connect a plugin is delivered as a per-plugin OCI image or baked into the worker image, described in Kafka Connect: Architecture and Concepts. On Axual Connect it is a JAR from a download location, described in How to Install Connect Plugins. |
Change Data Capture
Some source connectors use Change Data Capture (CDC): they stream row-level changes directly from the database transaction log rather than polling the tables. CDC delivers events in real time and captures the deletes and updates a polling connector cannot detect.
All CDC connectors in this catalogue are based on Debezium, an open-source CDC platform maintained by Red Hat. See Debezium Change Data Capture Connectors.
Sink Connectors
Sink connectors read records from Kafka topics and write them to an external system.
