What’s new in Axual 2026.1?

In the spring release of Axual Platform, exciting new features are introduced:

  • Audit Events now fully implemented — all changes across platform resources are now audited and viewable by the Tenant Admin. Read more here.

  • Improved Overview Graph visualisation — edges and node cards have been restyled, a legend component was added, and additional fixes applied.

  • Reset ConsumerGroup offset to a user-selectable timestamp — application owners can now reset consumer offsets to a specific point in time. Read more here.

  • KSML 1.2.0 — new release with strict security to prevent exploits from Python code using Java objects, support for importing custom Python files/libraries, JSON Schema for ksml-runner.yaml, updated base image, and various bug fixes.

    • Self-Service improvements: fixed "Infinite%" metrics display, PV resizing for existing deployments, prevented reset of a running application, improved log viewer.

  • Certificate handling improvements — cluster communication certificate expiry is now visible in the UI, and notifications are sent before a cluster certificate expires.

  • Connector UX refreshed — the Connector management experience in Self-Service has been redesigned for improved usability. Read more here.

    • Connector owners can now manage multiple certificate/private key pairs per application deployment and switch the active certificate without stopping the running Connector. Read more here.

  • OAuth support — Apicurio (Schema Registry) now supports OAuth, completing OAuth support across all data plane components. Implemented as a sidecar supporting both Basic Auth and OAuth. Read more here.

  • Tenant Admin Insights — three new insights are available: resources owned by a group, topics with high volume, and unused topics. Read more here.

  • MCP Server improvements — new tools added (search_kafka_topics, search_kafka_topic_deployments, search_schemas, create_schema), schema version details in stream deployments, pagination support for search methods, and full feature support when authenticating via OAuth. here.

  • Numerous bug fixes and documentation improvements across the platform.
