Upgrading Axual
What’s new in Axual 2024.2
?
In the summer release of Axual Platform, exciting new features are introduced, which allow teams to be better in control of their topics, applications and connectors.
-
Notifications: while Kafka is a 24/7 platform, not all users spend time daily in our Self-Service. This means that requests addressed to them, or alerts displayed, may go unnoticed for too long. With the new notification feature, you can let Axual send you emails when topic access requests are made, granted or rejected, or when one of your running connectors fails.
-
Protocol Buffers: although AVRO has been the standard for topic message formats, some customers have also requested support for Google Protocol Buffers. This popular message format is now also available for customers with an Apicurio Schema Registry. You can upload Protobuf schemas and use them as message formats for keys or values on the topics you manage.
-
Viewer Groups: resource configurations can be managed and changed by owners, but some customers have asked if it was possible for non-owners to also see these details. This is now possible with Viewer Groups, which are introduced for topics, applications and environments.
-
Many improvements and bug fixes improve the stability and usability of the platform and Self-Service.
