Getting Started

Creating a streaming use case, step by step

We believe that the best way to experience a new tool is with a hands-on approach. Following the Getting Started documentation you will perform every necessary operation to create a minimal, yet complete, streaming use-case.

The use-case

Your company, "ACME", has a growing number of applications. Each of those generate system logs. ACME wants to store all the application logs in a central system for investigative purposes. Moreover, these events should be forwarded in real-time.

We’ll use the Axual Platform to facilitate real-time event streaming, and we’ll build up the whole pipeline together.

Preparing the platform

Let’s first make sure you have an Axual-Platform you can use to follow along the getting started guide.

Request an Axual trial

If you don’t have an Axual-Platform available within your company already, you can request an Axual Trial by following the link below:

request trial new

You’ll be notified via e-mail when your Axual Trial has been deployed and is ready for use. As soon as that’s done, you’ll be able to follow along with the steps in the guide. In the meantime, you can take a look at the summary of the steps we’re about to follow, but make sure to come back for a refresher once your trial is ready.
